#Reflect31 - Day 16


If you aren’t following Don Goble, you need to. He’s award winning multi-media communications teacher from Missouri and we had the honor to learn from him at ipadpalooza this summer. One of the things about Don is that he’s a truly authentic person and his actions are louder than his words and you know he cares about teaching. Beyond that he express the belief that teachers can positively change the world by teaching students to think deeply about the messages they see/hear in media and in turn the message that they are sending out into the world. So it doesn’t surprise me that he chose this quote from Maya Angelou for inspiration and reflection today.

"I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." - Maya Angelou,

Don asks us to consider, “What do you wonder? Where can we find that information? How do you want to share your thinking?”

Here are a few of my sketchnotes from one of Don’s presentations about media integration and how to meaningfully integrate into our classrooms, as well as the importance of discussing the role of and impact media has on our society.
