#REFLECT31 Day 26
"One does not discover new lands without losing sight of the shore for a very long time" - Andre Gide
We are thrilled to be inspired by Alice Gentili, an Art Educator from the great city of Boston. She’s so awesome, always blurring the lines of ed tech and art to find innovative new ways to explore the creative process with middle school students. Doesn’t hurt that she’s an absolute hoot as well, just downright fun. As you know it’s an exciting time to be an educator, we live in a world of constant innovation. There’s a new app daily and we have to adapt and be flexible in our fast past world. Today Alice asks us to think further about change and taking risks.
Change involves risk and uncertainty. What are the changes you would like to make in your teaching this school year, and what are the risks you expect to take to do so?
As you explore this question think about the risks and rewards from previous changes you’ve made in your instruction or classroom culture. Consider the impact of these changes and the success or failure of these changes.
Thank you taking a risk today and sharing your reflections today! We also want to say congratulations to many of our PLN member as this Friday marks the end of the first week of school. YAY! So much hard work getting ready for your students and setting the tone of your learning communities is going to pay off big time. Enjoy the weekend you deserve it!
Happy #FabArtsFri
